There are two statutory committees that are mandated to ensure protection of the public interest, the Professional Conduct Committee (PCC) and the Discipline Committee (DC) and are authorized to perform specific duties and make certain that decisions are made within the college’s legislative framework and in accordance with its policies.
As per The Respiratory Therapists Act , Council may establish any committees that are provided for by the bylaws or that it considers necessary in dealing with various matters of the college.
Council and Committees are supported by staff who carry out the day-to-day operations of the SCRT.
